Cocnert of Memories 2:
A Journey Through Iran’s Beloved Songs
This performance brings together melodies from different periods of Persian culture and musical heritage. It offers an opportunity to revisit shared memories and reconnect with songs that have touched generations. A special part of the program invites everyone who loves to sing to join the performers, creating a warm, interactive atmosphere where cherished melodies are shared and celebrated together. Through music, the concert becomes a collective experience of memory, culture, and connection.
Team: The performance, presented by the Iranian Arts Centre, features Haam Band, with singers Soudabeh Amani, Farhad Faraznia, and Araz Rismani. The musicians are Hooman Roshanravan (Drums / Barbat), Payam Hosseini (Piano), Shahrokh Ghazneini (Kamancheh), Farhad Faraznia (Acoustic Guitar), Mehdi Yazdani (Bass Guitar), Keyvan Haghighat (Tombak / Percussion), and Noushin Hedayati (Bandir).
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
STAND Festival, an acronym for Strength Through Art Network Diversity, is an annual arts festival held each November that celebrates the creativity, resilience, and diverse voices of immigrant and refugee artists.
Since its launch in 2021, STAND Festival has provided a vibrant platform for artists to share their stories, talents, and lived experiences through theatre, music, and dance. By bringing together artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds, the festival fosters meaningful cultural exchange, artistic excellence, and community connection.
Beyond its performances, STAND Festival is committed to supporting the professional growth of immigrant and refugee artists through workshops, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. These programs provide valuable tools, insights, and connections that help artists develop their careers and strengthen their presence within Canada’s arts community.
