Experience Evergreen Arts
Evergreen Cultural Centre Society operates a professional venue that offers arts and cultural services to the Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody). The core business is to provide performing arts, visual arts, arts education, temporary public art, and facility rentals that are representative of, and accessible to, the local community.
Our mission is to inspire the community by providing engaging, quality entertainment, exhibitions, and arts programs in a welcoming environment.
The centre houses a 257-seat, flexible black box theatre and a 1,500 square foot public art gallery. The Rehearsal Studio and several art studios provide an additional 5,000 square feet of space for Evergreen’s classes, workshops, and rentals while the glassed-in lobby offers a spectacular view of Lafarge Lake.
Performing Arts
At Evergreen Arts, we provide a diverse menu of Performing Arts Presentations in multiple disciplines, curated by our Performing Arts Staff, as well as by Co-Presentation like Coastal Sound, Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Bandish Network.
Our intention in programming a season is always to present quality professional performances that will provide entertainment that can appeal to as wide an audience as possible.
The Gallery
Explore contemporary artworks by professional artists working in all mediums at The Gallery at Evergreen Arts. The Gallery is Evergreen Arts’ non-profit art gallery.
Through our exhibitions and public programs, The Gallery provides opportunities for people to connect with artists and the creative process, championing the belief that art is integral to the fabric of daily life.
Learning
Learning at Evergreen Arts is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and hands-on exploration. Our Arts Education programs engage people of all ages and backgrounds in meaningful creative experiences in a wide range of mediums and methods.
Led by local artists and professional Arts Educators, we offer classes, workshops, and camps that engage with process, exploration, and creative risk-taking in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Our Location
Evergreen Arts is the Tri-Cities venue for live arts events and experiences, located near Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park. Our organization operates on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem First Nation). We thank the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm who continue to live on these lands and care for them, along with the waters and all that is above and below.
Rental Spaces
Evergreen Arts offers venue rental opportunities for a wide variety of activities. Although our number one priority is providing space for arts-related events (performances, classes, etc.), we also have spaces that are appropriate for such events as meetings, weddings, public forums, receptions, small trade shows, and more.
