ECC Location
Parking
We kindly remind all visitors attending performances & public events at Evergreen to plan ahead. Parking for Evergreen patrons is available at several locations, including our main front and back parking lots, Douglas College (after 5:30PM), Town Centre Park lots A, C & D, and the Pinetree-Guildford Way Park & Ride.
Our parking lots are owned and operated by the City of Coquitlam. Paid parking is in effect Monday – Saturday, 8AM – 6PM. The fee is $1.00/hour. Parking is free on Sundays and statutory holidays.
PAY FOR PARKING | ParkedIn Parking App
The City of Coquitlam uses the ParkedIn app at their paid parking locations. Download it ahead of time or scan the QR code signs near the lots to pay for parking from your phone while we pour you a drink at our bar.
FIND A SPOT BEFORE YOU LEAVE
Know before you go! Check out the City’s digital parking tracker using the button below. This page shows visitors in real time if a lot is full and where to find empty spots elsewhere.
Accessibility
At Evergreen Arts we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible community gathering place for visitors to immerse themselves in the magic of live performance and visual art. We are beginning a journey to build accessibility and inclusion into everything we do. This process is ongoing and will take time and thoughtful consideration.
Venue Accessibility
Our venue is fully accessible, with features like ramps, elevators, nearby disabled parking spaces, and a universal washroom.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating is available in all our performance spaces, including specific seats for wheelchair users, pillows for our standard seats, and body positive chairs.
Please contact our Box Office to book seats that meet your access needs.
Hearing Assistance Devices
We have a limited number of headsets available for patrons who are Hard of Hearing. Please speak to our Front of House staff or volunteers if you would like a hearing assistance device.
Sensory Kits
We are proud to offer a limited number of sensory kits across our facility. Each kit includes headphones, fidget toys, a colouring book with crayons, and more.
ASL Interpreted Events
At ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted events, Interpreters commonly stand on the centre-left side of the stage.
For more detailed information, please see the Venue Access Guide provided below.
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
Our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) Committee is working with an accessibility consultant who intersects with the disability experience in multiple ways with both visible and invisible disability. As our consultant reminds us, we will take “purposeful, meaningful steps forward.”
We are assessing our internal systems, physical infrastructure, and arts and cultural experiences through an access lens to identify gaps and reduce as many barriers as possible—not only for patrons, but also for staff, vendors, contractors and anyone who engages with us. With the disability community representing 27% of the Canadian population, we are dedicated to actionable change within our organization.
We ask for your patience while we are on this journey. There is no finish line, and this is ongoing work that we are committed to doing with the support of disability consultants and the public. We know that we won’t always get it right and that the process will be slower than any of us wish it to be, but we want to ensure that the actions we take are considerate and don’t cause a conflict of access needs in our spaces.
To this end, we invite you to join us on this journey. We are open to any feedback you may have about your experience of our space. Please continue to visit this page for updates on our Accessibility Actions.
You can provide feedback through the form below, emailing ac.ertneclarutlucneergreve@AIDE, or phoning 604-927-6555.
A staff member will acknowledge your feedback and seek ways to reduce barriers. Thank you for your dedication to accessibility and inclusion and for your understanding of our current process.
