Youth Public Programs
Join us for unique and exciting art classes! Explore art making options like textiles and architecture, led by our fabulous team of professional arts educators. Programs for children and youth at Evergreen Arts nurture imagination, confidence, and creative problem-solving. Through hands-on Visual Arts making and active Performing Arts experiences, young artists will explore materials, develop skills, and find new ways to express ideas.

Musical Theatre Academy
A 10-Week Musical Theatre Program for Ages 10 – 17
Evergreen Arts is proud to partner with Theatrix for a brand new Musical Theatre Program! Taught by professional arts educators & designed for young performers looking to develop their skills, Musical Theatre Academy’s 3 course options will give you the tools you need to level up your performance.
A combined showcase of all three classes will take place June 17th in our Studio Theatre.
Upcycled Fashion For Kids
Step into the world of sustainable style with this hands-on, artist-led workshop where pre-loved clothing becomes one-of-a-kind wearable art! Guided by a professional designer, you’ll learn how to transform old garments into bold, personalized pieces while exploring the foundations of eco-conscious fashion.
Intro To Flamenco
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone curious about this expressive Spanish art form, no dance experience needed. In this easy-to-follow series, you’ll explore the essential elements that make flamenco so captivating, including graceful arm and hand movements, rhythmic hand clapping, expressive body language, and gentle, low-impact footwork.
Age 14+
Secrets Of Magic
Step behind the curtain and discover the secrets of the magic world! In this hands-on workshop, young magicians will learn how to perform amazing tricks using simple magic gimmicks — but shh… you’ll be sworn to secrecy!
Mini Music Makers
The VSO School of Music Mini Music Makers classes are taught by highly experienced and qualified Early Childhood music instructors and musicians, and are full of singing, moving, playing and learning!
Weekly sessions are available for music lovers age 3 months – 5 years! Participants must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop-off event.
Art Camps
Our unique arts camps offer visual arts, performing arts, and hybrid camps for creative kids ages 6-14.
Campers will get to try visual arts mediums like painting, sculpting, and drawing, performing arts skills like acting, dancing, and time spent visiting the gallery and beautiful Lafarge Lake.
Family Days
Led by our fun and engaging arts educators, your family will enjoy a tour of our latest gallery exhibitions. Then, get creative in our studios with an activity inspired by the artwork!
This series of family-friendly programming is free to attend, but registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
School Programs
Evergreen Arts’ Arts Education programs support provincial arts curricula through learner-centred, experiential learning. Programs emphasize careful looking, guided discussion, and hands-on exploration across visual, performing, and gallery-based experiences.
Students are encouraged to draw on personal experience to interpret art, think critically, and express ideas creatively. Through process-based workshops, students build confidence, curiosity, and meaningful connections to art and culture.
