EMERGING CREATORS INCUBATOR 

The Emerging Creators Incubator was designed to support emerging artists from all artistic disciplines living on the Coast Salish territories known as the Tri-Cities and Lower Mainland. From May to July 2024, the artists came together to learn, dedicate time to their creative practices and form community. Over three months, the artists received mentorship from guest mentors Derek Chan 陳嘉昊, Krystal Paraboo and ECC staff who fostered the development of their work, as well as a month-long residency during which participants had access to the studios and facilities at ECC. The program concluded with a Pop-Up Showcase, a one-night event presenting the exploration, iterative research and work-in-progress of these artists. Bridging visual and performing arts, the artists explored identity, empowerment and social responsibility.
