IMPROV: AN INTRODUCTION
with Michael Charrois
This fun, fast paced drama workshop for adults plays with the basics of spontaneous collaborative storytelling: Accepting (Yes… let’s!), Advancing (Yes… and) and Overcoming Obstacles (Yes…but) while working together to tell stories.Â
Improvisation is Life; it’s teamwork, collaboration, listening, communication, and the ability to adapt and problem-solve.Â
And just like Life, if you accept, advance and overcome obstacles, there’s no telling where improvisation takes you, but if you block and say “No” the story goes nowhere. We will play games for Character and Narrative and learn scenarios to hang the improvisation on. No memorization required, just a willingness to say “Yes!” and have fun.
