SUSTAINABLE STYLE: UPCYCLED FASHION FOR ADULTS

Explore the art of sustainable style in this hands-on, artist-led workshop designed for adults. Transform pre-loved clothing into unique, wearable pieces while learning practical fashion techniques—from basic sewing and hand stitching to embroidery, fabric painting, and embellishment.
Whether you’re new to sewing or looking to refine your skills, you’ll receive expert guidance as you bring your own creative fashion ideas to life. A curated selection of second-hand garments will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring a few pieces of their own to reinvent.
Two sewing machines and a serger will be available during class, with the option to bring your personal machine for additional practice.

ABOUT OUR EDUCATOR
Cyd Eva is a queer visual artist, fashion designer, face painter, teacher, dancer, and installation artist based in Coquitlam, BC. She holds a BFA in Visual Art from Simon Fraser University, a Fashion Design degree from Cape Town College of Fashion Design, and has trained in surface pattern design, creative entrepreneurship, and pattern drafting.
