This dynamic drama workshop for adults explores the fundamentals of narrative improvisation through collaborative storytelling techniques like accepting, advancing, and overcoming obstacles. Participants will build essential life and performance skills such as teamwork, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving. Led by arts educator Michael Charrois, the workshop includes fun games and exercises to develop characters and narratives without the need for memorization. Students will explore physicality, voice, personality traits, and relationships to bring authentic characters to life. Scenes will incorporate emotional depth, vulnerability, and comedic contrast to enhance audience connection and engagement. The course focuses on narrative improv—a form of spontaneous, longer-form storytelling that blends humor and emotion for rich, memorable performances.
