Inspired by exhibition Lure
Dive into a creative family adventure inspired by the
exhibition Lure! On the tour, families will explore how fishing
practices shapes the landscapes, cultures, and stories of the
places we live. In the workshop, exhibiting artist Carley Mullally
will teach participants off-loom weaving techniques.
In this all-ages workshop, makers will explore creative weaving
techniques using found and unconventional materials inspired
by the theme of fishing and repurposing. Using items such as
fishing rope, repurposed plastics and recycled yarns, makers
will learn a variety of simple weaving methods that emphasize
texture, play, and reimagining
