ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sam Chimes is a Vancouver-based Nigerian-Canadian live looping artist, DJ, and street performer with 850+ shows across North America, Europe, Australia, and South Korea. Known for building full songs in real time, Sam blends voice, keys, rhythm, and crowd interaction into high-energy performances that feel equal parts concert and creation session. His work turns everyday public spaces into moments of connection where audiences become part of the music.
A seasoned busker since 2018, Sam brings a polished, outdoor-ready set designed for walk-by audiences, festivals, and community spaces. Using a compact live looping rig, he creates layered grooves, melodic hooks, and uplifting messages with a strong sense of showmanship and audience engagement. The result is a performance that’s accessible, family-friendly, and exciting, while still musically deep.
Sam is also the founder of Chimes Academy, where he coaches emerging artists in live looping and stage presence. His mission is to empower creatives to realize their potential through music, courage, and consistency.
