Theatrix Musical Theatre Academy: Voice for Muiscal Theatre

Voice for Musical Theatre is a technique-based class designed for young performers who are ready to strengthen their singing and performance skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. Students will develop healthy vocal technique through exercises focused on breath support, tone, resonance, vocal stamina, and safe singing practices, while building the confidence to perform with authenticity and ease. They will also explore the art of storytelling through song, learning to connect music to character, communicate emotion, and make intentional acting choices that bring performances to life. Throughout the year, students will workshop both individual songs and ensemble numbers while developing skills in harmony, musicality, collaboration, audition preparation, song interpretation, and stage presence. A mid-season showcase will take place Nov. 29, with an end-of-year showcase on June 14.  

**Please note: This class is intended for students who already have a foundation in singing, whether naturally or through previous training. While previous voice lessons or a formal audition are not required to enrol, students must be able to sing in tune, match pitch, and keep a steady rhythm, as the focus of this class is on developing vocal technique and performance skills rather than learning the fundamentals of singing.**
