THE QUEER BLUES REVUE
ABOUT THE SHOW
Queer history has often been buried, erased, or pushed into the shadows—but it has never disappeared. It lives in the songs we sing, the poems we write, and the art we leave behind. Across centuries and continents, queer voices have always been there, telling stories of love, resilience, and joyful rebellion.
GOLDbard’s Queer Blues Revue digs into this hidden lineage, bringing these voices back into the spotlight through music and storytelling.
GOLDbard (they/them) is a non-binary songwriter, artist, and poet from the west coast of BC. In The Queer Blues Revue, they blend original music with songs from iconic queer blues artists—from Ma Rainey to Jackie Shane to Sam Smith—tracing a vibrant history of LGBTQ+ creativity.
Step into herstory with GOLDbard as they journey through songs and stories for the queer soul.
